Dalton Hometown Heroes Banner Installation

Print Story | Email Story
DALTON, Mass. — The Dalton Historical Commission will be installing Hometown Hero banners along Main Street, East Main Street, and North Street on Saturday, May 16.

This initiative honors Dalton residents — past and present — who have served our nation and community with distinction.

The installation represents a communitywide effort supported by the banner's sponsors, several local businesses and contractors who generously contributed their funding, time, equipment, and expertise to ensure the banners are safely and prominently displayed.

"These banners are more than decorations," said the Dalton Historical Commission. "They are a visible tribute to the men and women from Dalton who answered the call to serve their nation and our community. We are extremely grateful to the families who sponsored their loved one's banners, and the local businesses that supported the purchase of the banner brackets, along with the local contractors who helped bring this project to life."

The Hometown Hero banners will remain on display throughout the season, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to reflect on Dalton's rich history of service and sacrifice.
