NEWPORT, R.I. -- Kellen Moore struck out six in five scoreless innings on the mound Monday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 4-2 win over the Gulls in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Parker Guthrie earned his second save of the season with a 1 and two-third inning performance. He struck out a pair and walked three but did not allow a hit or a run.
Nicholas LoBello went 3-for-4 to pace the SteepleCats' offense.
John Heitzman was 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs, and Parker Camelo went 2-for-4 in a nine-hit attack for North Adams.
The SteepleCats (9-29) are at Bristol, Conn., on Tuesday.

Letter: Berkshire Job Market
To the Editor:
According to the experts in John Townes' article "Employment Experts: Berkshire County Has 'Healthy Labor Market,'" there are plenty of jobs here. I noticed, though, that the experts failed to give even one example of an employer who hasn't been able to fill their vacancies. Let's hope this oversight is corrected as this series continues.
