MassDOT Conducting Overnight Bridge Work in South County
BECKET/OTIS/BLANDFORD, Mass. – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will do overnight bridge repairs and bridge painting on I-90 eastbound and westbound in Becket, Otis, and Blandford this week.
All work is weather dependent and will take place at the following locations and times:
Becket:
- Bridge painting will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 20.0 nightly beginning Monday, August 31, through the morning of Thursday, September 3, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- Bridge repairs will be conducted on I-90 eastbound at mile marker 17.3 on the night of Wednesday, September 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
- Bridge repairs will be conducted on I-90 westbound at mile marker 17.3 on the night of Thursday, September 3, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
Otis:
- Bridge repairs will be conducted on I-90 eastbound at mile marker 22.5 on the night of Monday, August 31, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
- Bridge repairs will be conducted on I-90 westbound at mile marker 22.5 on the night of Tuesday, September 1, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
Blandford:
- Bridge painting will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 26.2 on the night of Monday, August 31, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place to guide drivers through the work areas.
Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
