
Pittsfield Man Arrested for Aug. 18 Shooting
PITTSFIELD, Mass.— A city man has been arrested in connection with a shooting on Circular Avenue and Division Street last month.
On Tuesday, the Pittsfield Police arrested Willie Harrison, 26, of North Street, in connection with the non-fatal shooting on August 18 at Circular Avenue and Division Street.
Harrison is being charged with:
- Assault and Battery by Discharging a Firearm
- Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building
- Possession of a Firearm without a FID Card
- Possession of Ammunition without a FID Card
He will be arraigned on Wednesday, September 2 in Central Berkshire District Court. The arraignment will most likely take place in the morning session.
In a press release on Tuesday, the Berkshire District Attorney's Office said that on September 1, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Harrison appeared in Central Berkshire District Court for an unrelated matter.
Upon his arrival in court, the court officers notified Pittsfield Police that he was in court and brought him into custody without incident, the DA said.
