"A concept that is community-driven, a space where everyone can come and enjoy the day, whether it's a latte or a cocktail, and combine morning and night, and have everything together," she said.
The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved a cannabis dispensary in the former Pittsfield Health Food Centre on North Street.
The board supported a special permit for Cloud Nine Visions LLC to operate at 407 North St. at its August meeting. The application was continued in July for further community outreach, and two meetings were held in the meantime.

Multifamily Report
*Multifamily sales down 9%, dollar volume up 5%
Multifamily sales stalled this year. During most of the first two quarters, there was an extremely concerning proposed ballot question on rent control that lead to many questions about the viability of a multifamily home or building with very little ability to improve or adjust for escalating expenses if passed. Through much work by citizens and real estate groups, the SJC struck down this proposal as unconstitutional. It is our hope that without the specter of this drastic ballot question, the market may open back up in the remainder of 2026. We should note that North County saw a robust start, and kept sales level from last year, and the south county market is very small but stable. The main multifamily market is in central / middle Berkshire and that market fell by 46% in the number of sales and 47% in the dollar volume sold. That is a considerable retraction.
