BRPC To Host Behavioral Health Conversation
DALTON, Mass. — The Office of State Senator Paul Mark and the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) invite community members to participate in a public conversation about the future of behavioral health support and collaborative crisis response in Berkshire County.
The listening session will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dalton Senior Center.
BRPC and community partners are working to better understand how residents access help before, during, and after a behavioral health crisis, recognizing that mental, physical, and social health challenges often overlap. The project is engaging behavioral health professionals, EMS agencies, law enforcement, dispatch centers, healthcare providers, recovery organizations, and community members to identify existing resources and opportunities to strengthen cross-sector coordination.
The Nov. 17 forum will provide residents with an opportunity to learn about the project, discuss existing community support systems, and share ideas about how Berkshire County can further build a coordinated system of care that supports residents across the full continuum of behavioral health needs.
The discussion will focus on opportunities for collaboration, community strengths, and solutions, including crisis prevention, response, follow-up, and long-term community wellbeing.
