SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Emma Wilson made 13 saves, including two against penalty kicks, to backstop the Mount Everett girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Springfield International Charter School on Monday.

Allison Steuernagle got the Eagles on the board first with a goal assisted by Chevelle Raifstanger.

Ella Gennari then scored an unassisted goal to put Mount Everett up, 2-0.

“Not the cleanest or crisp game of soccer today but we are happy with the end result,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “We definitely left some opportunities on the field and gave SICS too many opportunities today but at the end of the day a win is a win.”

Mount Everett (7-3-2) hosts Hopkins Academy on Tuesday.
