SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Caitlin Graves scored an unassisted goal in the first half to give the Smith Academy girls soccer team just enough offense for a 1-0 win over Mount Everett on Sunday.

Emma Wilson made seven stops in goal for the Eagles.

“I can't complain about the effort or intensity, just wish we would capitalize more on our passing and opportunities,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “Our touches have to improve and so does our conditioning if we plan on making any noise in Wmass or States. If we refuse to make those adjustments then it'll be a quick exit from both tournaments.”

Mount Everett (8-4-3) concludes a stretch of six games in nine days on Monday when it hosts Drury.
