Own Goal Trips Up Wahconah Girls on Road

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – Despite 15 saves from Edrie Collins, the Wahconah girls soccer team took a 2-1 loss at Hampshire on Tuesday.
 
“It was a tough physical game,” Wahconah coach Maggie Rivers said. “The Warriors had several chances to tie it up but just couldn’t find the back of the net.”
 
Dani Barry scored with an assist from Anna Doyle to tie the game in the first half.
 
Hampshire scored on an own goal for the game-winner.
 
Wahconah (1-4) hosts Pittsfield on Thursday night.
