Big Day for McLaughlin, Lee High Golfers

LEE, Mass. -- Senior Sean McLaughlin carded the lowest round of his high school career on Monday to lead the Lee High golf team to a 168-195 win over Monument Mountain at Greenock Country Club.
 
McLaughlin birdied the par-4 fourth hole on his way to a 41 that tied teammate Hunter Roosa for medalist honors.
 
Thomas Fraser and Colin Finnegan each scored for the Wildcats (6-0) with a 43. Finnegan birdied two par 3s, Nos. 2 and 7.
 
For Monument, Max Joyner birdied the par-4 fourth hole to highlight a round of 45. Lexi Shumsky was second for the Spartans with a 49.
 
Lee goes to Pittsfield to play St. Joseph on Thursday.
