Hinkell Ks 17 as Drury Downs McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Drury’s Connor Hinkell struck out 17 Tuesday to lead Drury to a 5-1 win over McCann Tech at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Hinkell allowed just two hits and two walks in the complete-game effort.
 
Carson Rylander doubled twice and drove in a run in a five-hit attack for Drury, which opened up a five-run lead with a three-run fifth inning.
 
Jake McAllister, Jake Gladu and JJ Prenguber each had a hit in the win.
 
Lukas Rylander and Jesse Brazzee each had a hit for McCann Tech.
 
NIck Gilman and Dylan Turner split time on the mound for the Hornets, combining to strike out six.
 
McCann Tech (1-1) hosts Turners Falls on Friday.
 
Drury (2-1) hosts Athol on Thursday.
