Mount Everett Handles Lee in Five Innings in Opener

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Heyden Cutlip and Brodie Kinna combined to allow just two hits for Mount Everett in Monday’s 11-1, season-opening, five-inning  win over Lee.
 
Cutlip struck out four and allowed two hits and a run in three innings before handing the ball to Kinna, who struck out four and did not allow a base runner over the last two.
 
Ian Lanoue went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, and Kinna was 2-for-2 with a double in a nine-hit Mount Everett attack. Jacob Kreis was 2-for-2 with four RBIs and scored four times.
 
Mount Everett (1-0) goes to Lenox on Tuesday.
 
Lee (0-1) hosts Mahar on Thursday.
