WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Darius Tovani scored four goals Wednesday to lead the McCann Tech boys lacrosse team to a 10-2 win over St. Mary’s.

The Hornets (4-8) outscored their hosts 4-0 in the second quarter to break a 2-2 tie.

“It was a good game,” McCann coach Paul Lange said. “We started out a little slow, but then we started playing more of our game starting in the second quarter.

“Four different guys had assists, and five of the goals were assisted. That's really good for us. It was a real team effort today.”

Justin Meczywor and Brandon Sargent each scored twice. Jason Delisle scored a goal and assisted on two more.

Josh Pettit made seven saves to earn the win.
