Wahconah Gets Road Win at West Side

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Patrick McLaughlin scored 20 points Tuesday to lead the Wahconah boys basketball team to a 57-47 win over West Springfield.
 
McLaughlin scored seven in the second quarter, when Wahconah took control of the game, outscoring the Terriers, 13-7, to take a 31-23 lead into the locker room.
 
Sam McLaughlin and Jack DuCharme scored 13 points apiece, and Aidan Hagmaier added six for Wahconah.
 
“A solid team win and a great defensive effort from our guys,” Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher said. “This was a good road win for us, especially at this point in the season. As we head into February, we are focused on continuing to get better everyday.”
 
Wahconah (7-6) hosts Pittsfield on Friday.
