Filiault Hits Game-Winner in OT for Mount Greylock

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Mia Filiault hit the game-winning shot with eight seconds left in overtime Tuesday as the Mount Greylock girls basketball team beat Monument Mountain, 38-36.
 
Madison Drake put back an offensive rebound to tie it for the Mounties.
 
Madi Powell made three of six free throw tries in a 7-5 OT period.
 
“We had a number of players step up, and their heart and fight to the finish got us through,” Mount Greylock coach John Jacobbe said.
 
Filiault finished with a team-high nine points. Drake scored eight, and Powell added seven in the win.
 
Polly Geddes led all scorers with 15 for Monument Mountain, which got nine from Alex Tenney.
 
The Spartans (0-2) host Drury on Saturday.
 
Mount Greylock (2-1) hosts Belchertown on Friday.
