WESTHAMPTON, Mass. -- Addie Miklasiewicz scored 12 points Wednesday to lead the Hampshire girls basketball team to a 41-31 win over Monument Mountain as the Spartans showed a marked improvement from the teams' meeting just five days earlier.

Alex Tenney matched Miklasiewicz for game-high honors with 10 points of her own. And the 10-point margin of victory was drastically different than the 62-26 win Hampshire earned in Great Barrington on Dec. 29.

"Much better showing as Monument had a full squad for the first time this year," Spartans coach John Perreault said.

Polly Geddes scored eight points in the loss.

Monument Mountain (0-6) hosts Belchertown on Friday.
