Ann Glaser, 94
BENNINGTON, Vt. — Ann Glaser, 94, of Bennington died on March 21, 2013, at her home.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sept. 14, 1918, a daughter of Max and Mary Mintzer, she graduated from James Madison High School there and earned her bachelor's degree in education from Hunter College.
Mrs. Glaser was an educator for more than 30 years in the Levittown (N.Y.) Public Schools.
She loved to sing, and was a member of the Sweet Adelines and the choir at her temple. She was a lifelong student, always taking classes in languages and history, combining her pursuit of knowledge with travel around the globe in the company of her husband, Morris Murray Glaser.
Her husband, whom she married on Jan. 17, 1943, died in 2000.
She leaves two daughters, Dale Levitz and her husband, Howard, of Williamstown, Mass., and Laurie Scott and her husband, Warren, of Massapequa, N.Y., and three grandchildren, Shari M. Levitz, Terri Lynn Scott and Steven Scott.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Mrs. Glaser were held at Wellwood Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, was in charge of local arrangements.
