Edmond A. Perras, 74
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Edmond Andre "Bunny" Perras, 74, of 136 Walker St. died peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving girls.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 21, 1939, a son of Albert and Rose LaBonte Perras, he attended the former Holy Family School in North Adams.
Mr. Perras had been employed by Steinerfilm Inc. in Williamstown for the past 20 years. He had earlier worked at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams and had been a dedicated provisional patrolman for the city of North Adams.
He was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. He loved bass fishing, hunting and camping with his friends. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. His five girls were the center and focus of his life.
He and his wife, the former Jane Petrovic, were married Sept. 2, 1961, in St. Francis' Church.
Besides his wife of 51 years, he leaves four daughters, Karen Iriass and her husband, Jose, Connie Therrien and her husband, Ed, and Chrissy Perras and her love, Dan Dobbert II, all of North Adams, and Kelly DiSanto and her husband, John, of Valencia, Calif.; three sisters, Beatrice Fortini, Leona Randall and Barbara Perras, all of North Adams; five grandchildren, Jeremy Perras, Jessie Fisher, Eddie Therrien Jr., Samantha Perras DiSanto and Kendalle Perras Felter, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his three brothers, his twin Raymond Perras, David Perras and Milton Perras, and his sisters Shirley Sumner and Dorothy Reed.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Perras will be celebrated Saturday, May 18, at 8:45 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday, May 17, at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Boston in care of the funeral home.
