Roy W. Dupree, 73
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Roy William Dupree, 73, of 45 Spring St. died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at his home.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., on March 8, 1940, a son of Clarence and Nellie Johnson Dupree, he graduated from Thomaston (Conn.) High School.
An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War as a private, first class.
Mr. Dupree was employed for many years in the heating and cooling industry.
He was a member of Stamford (Vt.) Community Church and the North Adams American Legion.
His former first wife, Barbara Raymond Dupree Consolini, died Oct. 3, 2010, and his wife, Nancy Carpenter Dupree, on Sept. 3, 1999.
He leaves his daughter, Wendy Klebe and her husband, Andrew, of Winsted, Conn.; his granddaughter, Lindsey Palmer of Winsted; his friend Elzbieta Godyn of North Adams; stepchildren Bridget Compston and Christopher Wood, and a niece, Yvette Merrifield and her family.
He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Merrifield.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Mr. Dupree will take place Friday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. at Southview Cemetery in North Adams. Arrangements by Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals.
