Dorothy E. Smith, 81
CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Dorothy Elizabeth Smith, 81, of 21 Stoney Brook Drive died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Mystic, Conn., on Sept. 5, 1933, a daughter of Origin and Elizabeth Fleming Kingsbury, she attended school in Wapping, Conn.
Mrs. Smith had been employed at the former Adams Super Market in North Adams. She previously had worked at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut for several years.
Primarily a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She was a member of the Clarksburg Senior Center.
She leaves a son, Guy H. Smith III of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Debra S. Ewing of Gadsden, Ala.; a grandson, Guy H. Smith IV, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased her granddaughter, Jimmie Lynn Loft.
