Christine E. Brazeau, 91

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Christine Elizabeth Brazeau, 91, formerly of North Adams died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry, N.H. Born in Adams on Dec. 24, 1922, a daughter of Joseph and Bridget Lahey Ross, she graduated from the former Adams High School. Mrs. Brazeau was employed by the former North Adams Hoosac Savings Bank for many years. She had been a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of the America 296 Court Margaret and LeCercle Francais Club. Her husband, George M. Brazeau, whom she married Sept. 5, 1949, died Jan. 8, 1995. She leaves two daughters, Denise Lohr of Cheshire, Conn., and Janice Knuuttunen of Sandown, N.H.; a son, Paul Brazeau of Greensboro, N.C.; eight grandchildren Scott and Brett Lohr, Eric, Alex and Hanna Knuuttunen and Michael, Andrew and Mia Brazeau, a great-grandchild, Isaac Lohr, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Bernice O'Rourke, and two brothers, Elmer and Francis Ross FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Brazeau will take place Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for POPS Care through the funeral home.

I remember Mrs. Brazeau when I grew up in Greylock. She was always very nice. Thoughts and prayers to her family during this time.
