Beatrice L. Panus

Beatrice L. Panus, 87, of 331 Gale Ave. died Monday evening at the Center for Optimum Care Berkshire, where she had resided for three months. Born in Peru on Nov. 2, 1913, daughter of Martin and Mary Phillips Small, she was a 1931 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Panus was employed as a bookkeeper in the plastics department of GE for 15 years, retiring in 1949. An amateur painter, she enjoyed nature, animals, and flower gardening. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends. She leaves her husband, Peter Panus, whom she married Feb. 15, 1943. She was predeceased by a sister, Jennie Newmarker. Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County in care of the DWYER FUNERAL HOME in her memory.
