Daniel J. Bobowiec, 45
STAMFORD, Vt. — Daniel John Bobowiec, 45, of Boulger Road died peacefully Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, of an unexpected heart ailment at his home.
The son of Michael Bobowiec and of Carolyn Sanford Bobowiec, both of Stamford, he graduated from Drury High School in North Adams, Mass., with the class of 1987.
Mr. Bobowiec was a field technician with Krofta Technologies, a division of EcoLab Inc. He enjoyed the traveling his career required and made many friends from coast to coast.
He was proud to be a lifetime member of Stamford Valley Golf Course and enjoyed being a backyard scientist. He also had a mild obsession with VW Bugs and all things about aliens.
He and his wife, the former Theresa Thoresen, made a loving home for over 25 years.
Besides his heartbroken wife and parents, he leaves a brother, Paul Bobowiec of Stamford; his nieces, Alexandra, Jacqueline and Tora; his aunts Mary Jane Mumford of Bradenton, Fla., and Marion King of Lanesborough; his in-laws, Tom and Elizabeth Thoresen of Stamford, cousins, and his many friends both new and old.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Bobowiec will be Saturday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Stamford Community Church. Burial will be in the spring in Millard Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Stamford Volunteer Fire Dept. in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, taken by the angels too soon.
