Margaret Barry, 91
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Margaret "Marge" Barry, 91, of 1361 Massachusetts Ave. died Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Williamsport, Pa., on April 4, 1923, a daughter of Harry and Anna Shriner Sobers, she graduated from Williamsport High School with the class of 1941.
During World War II, she had been employed by the Navy at Naval Air Station Norfolk (Va.).
Mr. Barry was employed at the former Waverly Fabric mills in Adams until her retirement in 1984. She worked previously at the former Jarisch Box and Sprague Electric companies.
She was an active member of more than 50 years with Blackinton Union Church, where she was a member of the Bible study group and the Ladies' Guild.
Her husband, William J. Barry, whom she marred on June 27, 1945, died Feb. 21, 1990.
She leaves two sisters, Betty Eggers of Missouri and Mary Ann Sierra of California, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Harry Bailey and Harold Rook.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will take place Tuesday, March 17, at 9 a.m. from Blackinton Union Church, Massachusetts Avenue. Burial will take place at a later date in Southview Cemetery.
