Edith E. Goodermote, 95
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Edith E. Goodermote, 95, of 243 State St. died on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born on June 30, 1919, in Fort Edward, N.Y., she was the daughter of Alfred and Vitaline Boyer Shephard.
A homemaker, Mrs. Goodermote had also worked at the former Hunter Outdoor Products.
She attended First Baptist Church.
Her husband, Franklin H. Goodermote Sr., whom she married on Feb. 13, 1937, in Berlin, N.Y., died on Jan. 18, 1976.
She leaves two daughters, Isabelle Harwood of Savoy and Anna Rose Bates of Hinsdale; seven sons, Franklin H. Goodermote Jr., Jerry Goodermote and Thomas Goodermote, all of North Adams, Norman Goodermote of Monroe, Harold Goodermote of Wales, James Goodermote of Lumberton, N.C., and Albert Goodermote of Becket; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son and daughters, Alfred Goodermote, Virginia Goodermote and Ida May Blanche Goodermote, and four brothers and four sisters.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Goodermote will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
