M. Antoinette Drumm

M. Antoinette Drumm, 90, of Park Street, formerly of Alford, died Sunday at the Village at Laurel Lake Nursing Facility, where she had been a resident since 1999. She was the Alford town clerk for two terms in the 1960s and, at one time, was the town tax collector. Born in Manchaug on Feb. 28, 1911, daughter of David and Marie Picard Guillaume, she attended schools there. She moved to the Berkshires in 1939 and had resided in Alford for 48 years. She was a member of Alford Union Church and a longtime member and past master of Alford Grange 346. Her husband, Arthur I. Drumm, died Oct. 16, 1971. She leaves a son, Arthur Drumm of Philmont, N.Y.; three daughters, Alice Kibbe of Somers, Conn., Antoinette Consolini of Stockbridge, and Jo Ann Dool of Hudson, N.Y.; a brother, Arthur G. Guillaume of Linwood; a sister, Theresa King of Hemet, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Drumm Sr., who died April 7, 2001; a brother, Joseph Guillaume, and two sisters, Cecil McCabe and Lucille Coggshall. The family will receive friends today, Oct. 2, from 4 until 7 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be tomorrow, Oct. 3, at Alford Union Church at 11, with the Rev. David Rogers, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Alford Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital in Springfield in care of the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
