Caroline McGuire

Caroline E. McGuire, 78, formerly of Cottage Street, died Monday at Fairview Hospital. Born in Great Barrington on Aug. 17, 1923, daughter of Bertolo and Serafina Costa, she attended local schools. A homemaker, she attended First Congregational Church. Her husband, William J. McGuire, whom she married April 28, 1951, died in 1987. She leaves two daughters, Sally McGuire and Jean McGuire, both of Pittsfield; a brother, Anthony Costa of Great Barrington; a sister, Mary Sini of Greenfield, and a great-grandson. Funeral services will be graveside at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, at St. Peter's Cemetery, Great Barrington, with the Rev. Charles VanAusdall officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, Great Barrington. Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
