Richard H. Aveyard Jr., 35, of 50 Maplewood Ave. died Monday at home. Born in Adams on March 16, 1966, son of Richard and Jean Lavigne Aveyard, he attended Adams schools and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 1985. Mr. Aveyard was employed by the Aladco Co. for two years and at Poly-Matrix Corp. for several years. He also was employed by Sampco of Pittsfield and Unistress Corp. in Lanesboro, both for one year. He then worked for Tomaselli Lawn Care Co. for several years and, at the time of his death, at Energetic Lawncare Co. in Lanesboro. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame Des Sept Douleurs and St. Thomas Aquinas. Besides his parents of Adams, he leaves his wife, the former Tracy McGowan, whom he married Aug. 28, 1999; a son, Brandon Aveyard of Pittsfield; a daughter, Charlie Marie Aveyard of Lanesboro, and a brother, Michael Aveyard of Adams. Services will take place Friday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. from the TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m.
