NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Cheryl Ann Schmidt, 65, of Tyler Street died Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at her home.

Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 8, 1949, a daughter of Pauline LaChapelle Sweet of Stamford, Vt., and the late Eugene C. Sweet, she attended schools in Stamford and graduated from the Drury High School.

Mrs. Schmidt was employed at Price Chopper Supermarket for 28 years, until her retirement.  

She enjoyed the outdoors and camping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She and her husband, Arthur W. Schmidt, were married on Jan. 30, 1991.

Besides her mother and her husband, she leaves two daughters, Tammy Boucher and Kelly Bostwick, both of North Adams; three stepchildren, Michael Schmidt of Clarksburg, Kristine Lescarbeau of Adams and Julie Jones of North Adams; two sisters, Diane Gagne of Arizona and Cindy Sweet of Stamford; two brothers, Steven Sweet of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Mark Sweet of Stamford; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Schmidt of North Adams; and nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE — There will be no services for Mrs. Schmidt. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, is in charge of arrangements.
