Adam D. Brooks, 19, Monterey Store clerk SHEFFIELD -- Adam Dutcher Brooks, 19, of Ashley Falls died Monday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Born in Torrington, Conn., on Dec. 9, 1981, son of Timothy and Shelley L'Hommedieu Brooks of Ashley Falls, he attended Mount Everett Regional School in Sheffield and graduated from Boulder Valley High School in Boulder, Colo., in 2000. At Mount Everett, he was on the wrestling and soccer teams. He was employed as a clerk in the deli department at the Monterey General Store in Monterey. He loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. He was also an artist. Besides his parents, he leaves a sister, Noelle Brooks of Ashley Falls; two brothers, Daniel Brooks and Joshua Brooks, both of Ashley Falls; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Nancy L'Hommedieu of Great Barrington, and his paternal grandparents, Richard and Joan Brooks of Ashley Falls. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Adams D. Brooks, 19, of Ashley Falls, died Oct. 8, 2001. Beloved son of Shelley and Tim; brother to Noelle, Josh and Daniel; grandson of Nancy and Charles, and of Joan and Richard. A Service of Remembrance will be Friday, Oct. 12, at 10 at Sheffield Chapel, 1970 North Main St., Sheffield, with the Rev. Chet Howes, pastor, officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southern Berkshire YMCA in care of the FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
