Tadeusz Pytko, 85

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Tadeusz "Ted" Pytko, 85, of North Adams died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Mr. Pytko was born in Adams on May 29, 1930, son of Jan and Mary Catherine Mastalisz Pytko. He attended the St. Stanislaus Parochial School.
He was last employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for 22 years until his retirement in 1990.
Mr. Pytko was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a member of the Stamford (Vt.) Senior Citizens. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and enjoyed hunting in his younger years. He especially enjoyed feeding the wild birds in his yard.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Pause Pytko, whom he married on April 18, 1953, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church; and five sons, Stephen Pytko and his wife, Gesinak of Pittsfield; Michael Pytko and his wife, Dianek of North Adams; William Pytko and his wife, Bonnie, of Stamford, Vt.; Thomas Pytko and his wife, Terri, of Rockledge, Fla.; and James Pytko and his spouse, Robert Pollard, of Houghton Lake, Mich. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Mildred LeSage of Stamford, Vt.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several half brothers and half sisters.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Ted Pytko will be Friday, March 11, at 8:15 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours are Thursday, March 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in care of the funeral home.
