LEE -- Charlotte A. Lester, 72, of 156 West Park St. Born in Great Barrington on April 1, 1929, daughter of Charles E. and Martha T. Nodine Felton, she was a 1947 graduate of the former Searles High School in Great Barrington and a 1949 graduate of the former Berkshire Hills School of Arts and Sciences. Mrs. Lester moved to Bronxville, N.Y., in 1952 and to Lee in 1971, where she and her husband purchased Hyatt Hardware Store on Main Street and changed its name to Marble Hardware. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in South Lee and of the Order of Eastern Star, Morning Star Chapter 217. Her husband, Robert W. Lester, whom she married July 19, 1952, died Aug. 1, 2000. She leaves two daughters, Patricia D. Lester of Becket and Caroline E. Carretto of Friendswood, Texas, and two grandsons. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Charlotte Felton Lester leaves her beloved grandchildren, David M. Silakowski and Bevan C. Baisden. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME, with a service at 11 at St. George's Episcopal Church in Lee conducted by the Rev. Canon Noel A. Bailey, rector. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting hours at funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshire in care of the funeral home. Members of the Order of Eastern Star will meet at the funeral home tomorrow evening at 7 for a service.
