Lester C. Dumoulin, 87

CLARKSBURG, Mass. - Lester C. Dumoulin, 87, of Clarksburg joined his beloved wife Claire in heaven on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born in North Adams on December 4, 1928, to Ernest J. and Julie (Poirot) Dumoulin. He graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1948 alongside the love of his life and future, Claire McNine. Lester and Claire were married on September 30, 1950, in North Adams. Lester enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served during the Korean Conflict. 

For many years, Les was employed as a draftsman at the former Sprague Electric Co. He then went to work in the same capacity at General Electric Co. in Pittsfield before purchasing Tangley Memorials in North Adams in 1972. He worked tirelessly to build the business to serve the community before selling the business in 1995 and retiring. 

Les was predeceased by his adored wife Claire, who died on November 18, 2014, and by his parents and infant brother, Wilfred Dumoulin. 

He is survived by his son, Glenn Dumoulin and his wife Nancy of Massilon, Ohio; his daughters, Denise Davis and her partner Daniel Collins of Clarksburg, Lisa Barker and her husband Mark of Alliance, Ohio, and Laurie Dumoulin and her partner David Levesque of Adams; his sister, Lorraine Adams of New Hampshire; 11 cherished grandchildren, Katie Wells, Aly Seivert, Matthew Davis, Michael Davis, Victoria Davis, Colin Barker, Julia Barker, Stephanie Sobieski, Fred Lancto, Dylan Grimes and Damon Grimes; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services: The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 1 p.m. in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. 

Calling hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
