Ronald ‘Davy’ Davenport, 60

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Ronald "Davy" Davenport, 60, of 12 Crandall St. died on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the Berkshire Medical Center Satellite Emergency Center in North Adams. 

He was born in Adams on January 11, 1956, a son of the late Clifford and Rosaline (Sullivan) Davenport. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School. 

Mr. Davenport worked for the Town of Adams Department of Public Works for many years until retiring as the Parks & Grounds working foreman. His first job was working for the former George's Radiator and Body Shop in North Adams. 

He was a member of the Adams Lodge of Elks and loved his sports cars and golden retrievers. 

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, the former Susan M. Daniels, whom he married on September 7, 1984; two brothers, James Davenport and his wife Patricia of Auburn, N.H., and Clifford Davenport, Jr., and his wife Michele of Taylorsville, N.C.; one sister, Ann Stamper and her husband Sam of Crystal River, Fla.; three nieces,  Moira Davenport Eredly, Molly Guilfoyle and Brenna Bushey and their families; his Mother-in-Law, Theresa Daniels of Adams; one sister-in-law, Melanie Bushey and her husband Michael of Adams; his cousin, Mark Guettler and his wife Cheryl of Cheshire, his very close friend Paul Lennon of Adams; and many other close friends and neighbors. 

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Mark Daniels. 

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, McKinley Square, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, pastor. Burial will follow in Maple Street Cemetery, Adams.  There are no calling hours. Paciorek Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
