David B. Lesure Jr., 43

ADAMS, Mass. — David Bryan Lesure Jr., 43, of Adams died Sunday, April 3, 2016. 

He was born in North Adams on November 19, 1972, a son of Susan Ann (Clairmont) Lesure Sherman and the late David B. Lesure. He graduated from McCann High School with the class of 1991, where he studied electricity.  He was employed for many years as a machinist at Tog Machine in North Adams. 

He was proud father and a great provider to his family. He was an active volunteer for the Adams Little League and enjoyed watching his son play. He enjoyed fishing, bowling at the Valley Park Bowling Lanes and golfing with his brother and friends, and he was an avid pool player. 

He was a member of the Advisory Committee at McCann High School. 

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Susan and  Ronald Sherman of North Adams; his wife Frances (Larabee) Lesure, whom he married September 23, 1995, at the First Baptist Church in Williamstown; two loving children, Jessica SueAnn Lesure and David Bryan Lesure III, both of Adams; a brother, Jason Lesure and his wife Sarah of Adams; a sister, Samantha Sherman and her companion Timothy Mogan of North Adams; his paternal grandmother, Joan (Crosier) Lesure of North Adams; his step-grandmother Karen Sherman of North Adams; his father- and mother in-law, David and Nikki Larabee; sisters in-law Sandra Racine and Dan and Melisa Larabee and Glen and brother-in-law David Larabee, all of Williamstown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: Funeral services will take place Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. 

Calling hours are Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the David B. Lesure Jr.  Children's Education Fund through the funeral home.
