Mary L. Medlin, 65

PITTSFIELD -- Mary L. Medlin, 65, of Baton Rouge, La., a native of Pittsfield, died Thursday at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Born May 1, 1936, daughter of Louis and Frances D'Alfonso Esoldi, she graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1954. From 1954 until her marriage in 1961, Mrs. Medlin was employed as a secretary at the Department of the Navy in Washington. She was a retired librarian for Lafayette Parish and had resided in Baton Rouge for 11 years. She leaves her husband, M. John Medlin, whom she married Feb. 11, 1961; a daughter, Amy Medlin of Covington, La.; a sister, Janet I. Taylor of Pittsfield, and a brother, James L. Esoldi of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mary Esoldi Medlin was held at SCHOEN FUNERAL HOME in Covington, La., on Oct. 8. Burial was in Covington.
