Judith A. Coughlin, 82

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Judith Ann (Danaher) Coughlin, 82, of Berwyn, Pa., died on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Paoli Hospital, Pennsylvania. 

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on January 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Gertrude (Ridgewell) and Roderick Danaher. 

Judy graduated from Williamstown High School in 1952 and from Vassar College in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Judy was in the banking industry, first working at Williamstown National Bank. 

In 1966 she then moved to Philadelphia, Pa., with her husband. She was a member of the Philadelphia Dog Training Club, Delaware Valley German Shepherd Club, and many other dog clubs. She was active in the Philadelphia Vassar Club, where she was treasurer of their Philadelphia Vassar Designer Show House for many years. 

Judy leaves her husband, Edward J. “Terry” Coughlin III; they were married in October of 1958. She also leaves her brother in law, David Coughlin and his wife Marilyn of Williamstown; a sister-in-law, Cecile Best of Caanan, N.Y.; and her cousin, William Brannon of Florida.

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Judith Coughlin will be celebrated Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church on Park Street in Williamstown. Burial is private. A reception will follow at the Williams Inn.
