Marie A. Rotolo, 91

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Marie Antoinette (Sherry) Rotolo, 91, of North Adams died Saturday July 2, 2016, at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in the Briggsville section of Clarksburg, Mass., on June 9, 1925, daughter of Thomas H. and Mary (Champagne) Sherry. She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1944. She was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, VA.
Marie worked at North Adams Regional Hospital as a licensed practical nurse for many years. She then was the owner and operator of an assisted living facility in North Adams.
Marie was a communicant of the former Notre Dame and St. Anthony of Padua Churches and now St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a member of the American Legion. She enjoyed cooking and at one time operated the former Rotolo's Pizza on State Street.
She was the widow of Joseph James Rotolo, who died on December 10, 1963. They were married February 11, 1950, in North Adams.
Survivors include one daughter, Christina M. "Tina" Rotolo of North Adams; three sons, Joseph J. Rotolo of North Adams, Thomas S. Rotolo and his significant other Kathy Noel of Adams and Timothy L. Rotolo and his wife Debbra of North Adams; three grandchildren, Jennifer L. Raimer and her husband Matthew of Loudon, N.H., Thomas J. Rotolo and his significant other Marci Levesque of Clarksburg, and Tanya Rotolo and her fiancé Tristan Ostronic of Malden, Mass.; one sister, Claire Immediato of Needham Heights, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.
Her son, James F. Rotolo, died May 7, 2014, and two sisters and one brother are deceased: Marguerite Sherry, Genevieve Gigliotti and James Sherry, who was killed in World War II.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Marie Rotolo will be celebrated Friday, July 8, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.
