Wayne L. Andrews Sr., 77,

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Wayne Leroy Andrews Sr., 77, of North Adams died Monday, July 4, 2016, at the Vermont Veterans' Home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Pittsfield on May 17, 1939, a son of the late Oren and Phyllis (Jordan) Andrews. He attended schools in Pittsfield and was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Sierra and USS Suffolk County.
Wayne was employed for the Town of Lanesborough in the 1980s and was employed as the supervisor of the maintenance department at Highland Lakes in Leesburg, Fla.
He loved spending time with family and friends and fishing. Wayne was a member of the Williamstown American Legion and the D.A.V.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie (Mikna) Andrews, whom he married March 5, 1962; two children, Cynthia Cooper and her husband William Cooper Jr. of North Adams and Wayne Leroy Andrews Jr. of Leeds, Mass.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Merle Gray of Williamstown and Jacqueline Andrews of North Adams; and two brothers, Ronald Andrews and Keith Andrews of Pittsfield.
He was predeceased by a sister, Jeanne Teti, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral notice: Funeral services will take place Friday, July 8, at 3:30 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown, Mass.
Calling hours are Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home.
