ADAMS -- Walter Richard Myers, 66, of Barrett House, 17 Pleasant St., died yesterday at home. Born in Pownal, Vt., on April 25, 1935, son of Charles H. and Myrtle Pratt Myers, he attended schools there. In his younger years, Mr. Myers was employed by the Holiday Inn in Troy, N.Y. Before his retirement in 1976, he was employed in the roofing business with the former John Gravel Roofing Co. of Williamstown. He leaves his wife, the former Leona May Hall, whom he married Dec. 24, 1974, in Poestenkill, N.Y.; a daughter, Janet Ann Myers-Delisle of Largo, Fla.; four sisters, Arlene Hurley of Adams, and Ethel Tripodes, Linda Scrivens and Priscilla Hall, all of North Adams, and three brothers, David L. Myers, Charles H. Myers and Carl Paul Myers, all of North Adams. Predeceased by a sister and two brothers, James Myers in 1954, Calvin Franklin Myers on Oct. 20, 1989, and Shirley Ann Myers Pratt on June 15, 1998. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Walter R. Myers will be Monday, Oct. 15, at 1:30 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, with the Rev. Jill Graham, pastor of First Congregational Church, North Adams, officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, Oct. 14, from 3 to 6. Donations suggested in his memory through the funeral home.
