Kerry Patrick Hoag, 32

BENNINGTON, Vt. — Kerry Patrick Hoag, 33, of Bennington died unexpectedly in Bennington on Thursday August 4, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Kerry was born on his father's birthday, March 17, 1983, in Bennington. He was the youngest of three boys born to Jack and Jean (McSherry) Hoag.

He grew up in Bennington, where he graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School in 2001. He also received a two-year degree in CNC Machining. He was one of very few students to obtain this level.

Kerry had been employed at Berensteins, NSK, and worked for his future father-in-law Bill Latour at Bear Construction.

He loved spending time going to the races at Lebanon Valley with his father and he loved cooking.

Kerry is survived by his fiance Lindsay LaTour, whom he was to marry on Aug. 6; his mother, Jean Hoag of North Bennington, Vt.; his sons, Calvin Hoag and Carter LaTour; his brothers Trever Hoag of Bennington and Jad Hoag of North Bennington, Calvin's mother Erin Lemieux; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father March 10, 2014.

Funeral notice: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. at The First Baptist Church of Bennington. Burial will follow in the family lot in Hinsdillville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorial gifts may be made to a college fund for his children (payable to Jean Hoag) in care of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main St, Bennington, VT 05201.
