Dorothy E. Long, 81

OTIS -- Dorothy E. Long, 81, of 130 Ridge Ave. died Sunday at the Governor Center in Westfield. She was the mother of Shirley E. Lynn of East Otis. Born in Thurmont, Md., on June 11, 1920, daughter of Milton and Olive Gaugh Stambaugh, she was a 1937 graduate of Thurmont High School. After graduation, she worked in the cafeteria at the high school for 16 years. She had resided in Maryland until moving to East Otis in 1999 to reside with her daughter. Her husband, Roy Long, whom she married July 9, 1938, died in 1995. Besides her daughter, she leaves another daughter, Susan D. Brice of Smithsbury, Md.; a son, Allen A. Long of Hagerstown, Md.; six grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
