Lillian I. Adams, 95

NORTH ADAMS -- Lillian Ilene Adams, 95, of 105 Front St. died yesterday at North Adams Commons. Born in North Adams on Feb. 21, 1906, daughter of Joseph and Celia Fountaine Levesque, she attended schools there, including the former Notre Dame School. Mrs. Adams was employed by Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1972 with more than 20 years of service. She also was employed by the former Hoosac Cotton Mill in her younger years. She was a longtime communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member and past president of the North Adams Emblem Club. She also was a member of the Le Cercle Francais Club and the Sprague Retirees Club. Her husband, Josephat J. Adams, whom she married June 20, 1932, in Notre Dame Church, died Feb. 9, 1984. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, including Jeannette Beadreau, Richard Leveque, Nancy Leveque, Joyce Sherman, Joseph Levesque, Peter Levesque, Barabara Levesque, John Levesque, Bernard Naughton, Lawrence Levesque and Ruth Harrington. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters, Lawrence, Clarence, William and Harold Levesque, and Mae Naughton and Julia Duffy. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lillian I. Levesque Adams will be Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the Notre Dame Church Fund through the funeral home.
