Mabel M. Lefebvre, 97

ADAMS, Mass. — Mabel M. Lefebvre, 97, of 3 Upton St. passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the Williamstown Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Cheshire on July 20, 1919, daughter of the late Alcide and Emma Marx Clairmont, she attended local schools. Mabel became employed with the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams for several years, until she became a homemaker.

Mabel enjoyed hand embroidery, especially pillow cases for her family.

Her husband William A. Lefebvre passed away in 1983. She is survived by a son, William A. Lefebvre Jr. and his wife Susan of Cheshire; a daughter, Ida J. Green and her husband Robert of North Adams; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Therese Lefebvre of North Adams; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Clairmont of Adams.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mabel Lefebvre; two sons, Dennis Lefebvre and Douglas Lefebvre; three brothers, Raymond, Donald and Lawrence Clairmont; and three sisters, Rachel Jayko, Vi Bourassa and Dorothy Bullet.

Funeral notice: A grave side service and burial for Mabel M. Lefebvre, who passed away October 1, 2016, will take place Friday, October 14, 2016, at 1 p.m. in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. With the Rev. Robert Miskell of the Parish of Pope John Paul II officiating. The Trottier-Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
