Mary A. Luczynski, 96

ADAMS -- Mary A. Luczynski, 96, of 545 Martha Drive, Holly Hill, Fla., formerly of Allen Street, Adams, died Friday at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. Born in Adams on Aug. 16, 1905, daughter of Joseph and Josephine Pudlo, she attended schools there. She moved to Florida in 1980 to live with her daughter, Josephine Sullivan. Mrs. Luczynski was employed by the former Berkshire Hathaway Cotton Mills and later by the former W.B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital. She retired some years ago. Her first husband, John Zepka, is deceased. Her husband, Joseph Luczynski, died Oct. 14, 1966. She leaves four daughters, Helen Kawa of North Adams, Florence Luscia of Adams, Patricia Little of Williamstown and Josephine Sullivan of Holly Hill; three sons, Robert Luczynski of the town of Washington, Richard Luczynski of North Adams and Frederick Zepka of the town of Florida; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Henry Zepka, and a daughter, Mildred Konieczny. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Prayer Service in the Roman Catholic tradition will be offered for Mary A. Luczynski on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Liberty St., Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7. Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. The Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, will officiate at both rites.
