Blanche L. Morin, 101

ADAMS, Mass. — Blanche L. Morin, 101, of 37 Friend St. passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016, at the Williamstown Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Adams on November 10, 1914, daughter of the late Henry and Louise Zwolen Oparowski, she attended Adams schools. Blanche was employed with the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams as a Spinner for 35 years. After the company closed she became employed with former W. R. Grace Co. in Adams, where she retired in 1979.
She was a longtime communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Adams, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Later in life she became a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
Her husband Arthur J. Morin, whom she married on May 7, 1934, died January 19, 1993.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Dubis and her husband Stanley of North Adams; two sons, Arthur J. Morin Jr. and his wife Norma of Adams and Robert Morin and his wife Cynthia of Farehaven, Vt.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Stanley, Walter and Matthew Oparowski; and two sisters, Anna Gallagher and Mary Palmer.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Blanche will take place Friday, October 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Robert Miskell. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
Calling hours at the Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations in her memory can be made to the Williamstown Commons Activity Fund in care of the funeral home.
