David F. Rarick, 64

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — David F. Rarick, 64, of North Adams died Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass., after succumbing to a long battle with cancer.

He was born in North Adams on April 9, 1952. He was raised by his foster parents, the late Elizabeth C. and the late Charles C. Bailey in Lenoxdale, Mass. His parents were the late Jeannette Bombardier of North Adams and Kenneth Dean of Florida. He attended Lenox schools and Lenox High School. He and his wife, the former Grayce E. O’Neill, were married on November 17, 1969.

He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and an avid fisherman.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Shannon D. Rarick of North Adams and Heath D. Rarick of Gloversville, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Connor D. Rarick, Cayden D. Rarick, Nathan J. Hodge, and Dylan J. Hodge that were the loves of his life; Michelle Spence and Kathy Pelton, who are the mothers of his grandsons; six brothers, Theodore Bombardier, Robert Naprava, Wayne Rarick, Peter Rarick, James Rarick, and Kenneth Dean; four sisters, Cheryl Chaloux, Cynthia Rarick, Susan Dean and Rita Dean; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and 21 nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Rarick. 

Funeral notice: David’s final wishes were that there will be no calling hours, that he would be cremated and a service will take place at a later date. In addition, that all donations can be made to his wife Grayce E. Rarick. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals.
