Robert F. Lucia, 34

ADAMS -- Robert Francis Lucia, 34, of 22 Crandall St. died of cystic fibrosis Monday. Born in North Adams on Sept. 11, 1967, son of Donald and Dorothy Wooley Lucia of Adams, he attended Adams schools and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 1986. He also attended Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams. Mr. Lucia was employed by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles in North Adams and, most recently, by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for 14 years. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas and a former member of the Adams Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed playing golf, and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Besides his parents, of Adams, he leaves a brother, Gregory T. Lucia of Adams. He also leaves two nieces, Aimee Lucia and Kimberly Lucia, both of Adams; a grandniece, Erika A. Lucia of Adams, and two sisters-in-law, Janet Lucia and Terry Lucia, both of Adams. He was predeceased by a brother, Glenn "Whitey" Lucia, who died Feb. 22, 2001. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the funeral home.
