James R. "Jimmo" Blanquart, 63

ADAMS, Mass. — James R. "Jimmo" Blanquart, 63, of Adams died Monday morning, January 16, 2017, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born in North Adams on May 8, 1953, the son of the late Robert and Carolyn (Roberts) Blanquart. He attended local schools, and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School.

Jimmo last worked as the warehouse manager for Morelli Wholesale Plumbing Supply in Las Vegas, Nevada, until retiring due to ill health and returning to Adams eight years ago.

He was an avid sports fan, and also enjoyed old music and watching classic movies.

The last of his immediate family, he is survived by Dorothy Waterman of Cheshire, whom he considered his "second mother," as well as her family, and many friends.

Funeral notice: A gathering to celebrate Jimmo's life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21,  at 1 p.m. at Adams Post 160 American Legion, 160 Forest Park Avenue, Adams. All are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. The Paciorek Funeral Home, Adams, is assisting with arrangements.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my fried. ME my son and Jimmo went to Vegas and had a great time! I will miss Jimmo and my thoughts and prayers will be with him till we meet again! God be with you my FRIEND! And believe me I don't have many!
