Charles Clark, 69

TYRINGHAM, Mass. — Charles W. "Chuck" Clark, 69, of Tyringham died Friday morning, January 27, 2017, at Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield.

Chuck was born on August 27, 1947, in Pittsfield, the son of Wilbur and Josephine "Irma" Laurenti Clark Jr. He was a 1965 graduate of Lee High School.

After graduating he worked for the Peter J. Schweitzer Paper Mill in Lee and retired in 2006. He was a coach and president for the Lee Little League as well as a coach for the Lee Youth Soccer. He enjoyed attending car shows with his custom car, walks with his dog, "Bear," and attending all Lee High Sporting events, especially the girls basketball. 

Chuck is survived by his wife, the former Marion "Terry" Briggs, whom he married on August 5, 1967; three sons, David Clark and his wife Shannon of Tyringham, Jon Clark of Tyringham and Kevin Clark and his companion Sarah of Otis; one brother, Gerald Clark and his wife Melody of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Kerry Clark Sullivan and her husband Michael of Pittsfield, Mass.; and his five grandchildren, Kayden, Jacob, Zachary, Charlie and Exra.

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Chuck Clark will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Tyringham Union Church, in Tyringham, with the Rev. Janet McKinstry, pastor, officiating. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening, January 31, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee. 

Burial will be at the Tyringham Cemetery in the Spring. Friends wishing may donations in his memory to Berkshire County ARC or the Alzheimer’s Association in c/o the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238.
